Question 1

What is Synergy Axella?

Accepted Answer

Synergy Axella is a Manufacturing Operations Excellence (OpEx) platform that turns real-time production data into measurable improvement. It combines OEE tracking, AI-driven loss investigation (Claude Sonnet 4.6), predictive maintenance (scikit-learn), statistical process control, shift handovers, warehouse, quality, and safety in a single web application. Built in Antwerp, Belgium. GDPR-compliant.

Question 2

How is Synergy Axella different from an MES?

Accepted Answer

Synergy Axella sits on top of your MES. It consumes MES data via MQTT, OPC-UA, or REST and adds the OpEx layer — OEE, AI loss investigation, predictive maintenance, dashboards, digests. If you don't have an MES, Synergy Axella covers about 80 % of MES functionality out of the box.

Question 3

Which AI models does Synergy Axella use?

Accepted Answer

Six frontier models via the Emergent Universal Key: Claude Sonnet 4.6 (default), Claude Opus 4.8 (deep analysis), Claude Haiku 4.5 (fast), GPT 5.6 Sol (OpenAI), Gemini 3.1 Pro (long-context), and Gemini 3 Flash. Image generation via Nano Banana and GPT Image 1. Video via Sora 2. Voice via Whisper. Predictive maintenance uses scikit-learn Isolation Forest.

Question 4

Do you train on our production data?

Accepted Answer

No. We use the Emergent Universal Key which routes to Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google APIs under enterprise no-training contracts. Your production data never becomes training data.

Question 5

How long does deployment take?

Accepted Answer

SaaS: ~2 hours. Self-hosted (Docker Compose or Kubernetes): ~2 weeks including integration with existing PLCs / MES. Median customer sees ROI in 6-10 weeks by identifying and remediating one preventable loss family per line.

Question 6

What is the AI Loss Investigator?

Accepted Answer

An AI feature powered by Claude Sonnet 4.6 that cross-references every production loss (downtime, NCR, SPC violation) with maintenance history, quality data, PM schedule, shift patterns, and operator training to produce four outputs: financial impact in €, probable root cause with confidence score, ranked recommended actions, and a priority level (P0-P3). Critical events auto-fire SMS via Bird and rich cards to Slack + Microsoft Teams within 10 seconds.

Question 7

Is Synergy Axella GDPR-compliant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Full Data Processing Agreement, sub-processors list, retention controls, and self-service data export/erasure endpoints. Data encrypted with TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest. Bcrypt cost factor 12 for passwords. Mandatory MFA for admin accounts. Full audit log of every write. SOC 2 Type II audit in progress (Q3 2026).

Question 8

Can Synergy Axella integrate with our PLCs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A pre-built Node-RED flow ships with the platform and speaks Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley / Rockwell EtherNet-IP, Modbus TCP, and OPC-UA. Data flows to Synergy Axella via MQTT with ~1-second latency. Legacy protocols (DNP3, Profibus) supported via paid integration engagement.
